Salon Privé, Vogue & Shades and Coffee

We love keeping you up to date with all the exciting things happening here at Katherine Elizabeth Millinery. Whilst it’s not completely ‘business as usual’, we have been really busy recently. It’s great to see things finally taking off after an overwhelmingly difficult year for all of us. And so, without further ado, here are some of the things we have been working on…

Words cannot describe how thrilled we were with our Millinery Challenge last month. Over 800 milliners signed up for the three-day challenge, with our live event receiving an impressive 1500 views. Thank you to everyone who took part in our virtual event and I hope you are all as pleased as punch with your headbands. Keep those creative juices flowing! For all those budding milliners out there, we have a new challenge coming up this November. We will be making sculptural felt headpieces with a futuristic twist. A wonderful Christmas gift idea, or perhaps a little something for yourself! If you’re interested, please sign up here.

During September, we were immensely proud to see our hats feature on the Waterloo Bridge Billboard. Having our work showcased in such an iconic location was a real ‘pinch me’ moment for us. And we were also thrilled to see our hats feature the September edition of the UK Wedding Planner Magazine.

We have been working flat out on a few bespoke commissions, including a special hat for the very special celebrity stylist, Natalie Robinson. The Style Icon Ltd founder looked fabulous in our handcrafted headpiece at Salon Privé last month. Natalie was asked to judge the event’s Best Dressed Lady and was pictured with TV icon, Eamon Holmes!

This month our work was featured in Vogue magazine for men and we also saw our hats appear in L'Officiel Arabia magazine. A special thanks to designer Kyle Ho for collaborating with us on these beautiful pieces.

We were also delighted to see our work showcased in the X Terrace exhibition during London Hat Week. This year’s events were a little different from previous years, with an exciting mixture of virtual and in-person exhibitions.

Just last week, we were asked to speak on the Shades and Coffee podcast and we loved talking to Vivienne about business, hats, and working during these strange times! It is one Mad Hatter’s tea party you definitely don’t want to miss - so check out the full interview on Apple podcast and Spotify.

And in our most recent news, we are designing hats for MA designer, Thi Phuong Thao and we are also in the throes of creating jaw-dropping new hats and headpieces for our SS21 collection. Watch this space as we will be unveiling the range shortly.

Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you for your unwavering support. We are so happy to be back doing what we love the most - designing luxury custom hats just for you.
