What Happened This Summer

What have you been doing this summer? I am picturing a tropical paradise softly lighted by a colourful sunset over the sea. Or maybe you are a mountain lover and spent your summer trekking in wonderful rocky landscapes? Either way, I hope you had the time of your life!

Here at the studio, I have had a busy summer creating colourful, flowery, eccentric and architectural hats, for you to wear on many occasions: weddings, evening parties, races…

Talking about races, there is one that I look forward to, every year, where the most imaginative hats are worn: Ascot. If you haven’t had the pleasure to be born in the country of Alexander MC Queen and Harry Potter, you might have never heard of it. Ascot is a British racecourse located in Ascot, Berkshire, which was founded in 1711 by Queen Anne. Over the past 300 years, it has become a worldwide known horse race and one of the most important events on the British social calendar. But for the milliners, it is a moving stage for their most incredible hats.

Speaking of incredible hats, this one might be my favourite of 2016. I love how well the jungle has been recreated, and how the colours are matching together. Wasn’t I picturing a jungle earlier? I think it might be time for me to go on a little holiday trip in some exotic country…

As I could not attend this year (too many hats to make), my hats were my eyes and ears in Ascot and told me about the wonderful hats Her Majesty the Queen wore during those incredible five days.

I love the movements of those coral feathers and how it is matching her lovely outfit.

I absolutely adore the colours of that hat, that orange is so bright it is lightening the whole outfit! I love it! All week the lovely Ashley wore hats from my couture collection! Spot the very very special VIP!!

I can’t wait to show you the new collection I have been working on this summer, bright colours and incredible feather on the way….

Here are some honourable mentions of Ascot 2016:
